Where do I sleep? Do I share a room with somebody?
Heart Art guests will stay in the Evergreen Village at Cherokee Cove Retreat Center. You can choose a private cabin, all interconnected by a boardwalk overlooking the forest and a beautifully landscaped pond and waterfall. Each cabin is uniquely decorated and features a full bath, queen bed, fireplace and handmade quilt. Or you can choose to share a larger cabin with other women. You will have a private bed, you may have or may not have a roommate. You will have other “cabinmates” who will likely become life-long friends. The Retreat costs varies depending on sleeping arrangements. The cost for a private cabin is $1050 and the private bed/shared cabin is $930. Please be sure to indicate your cabin preference when you register.

What is a typical day like?
A typical day at the retreat starts off with a delicious breakfast. You will awaken to the crisp, mountain air and may decide to take a stroll in the woods or just relax in the beauty and quiet of this magical place. We will feed you a wonderful lunch and delicious snacks in the afternoon. We will work through the Soul Restoration Curriculum by Melody Ross; you will have time to journal, time to make art in the Art Room, time to explore the 200 plus private acres bordering Cherokee National Forest, time to talk with other women, and time to do whatever else might be nourishing for your soul. At dinner time, we gather at beautifully set candle-lit tables and enjoy a fabulous meal together. Followed by a delicious dessert, of course. The evenings include more time to work on your art, wonderful shares around the red carpet, music, laughter, and all sorts of magical experiences. At the end of the night, you will return to your cabin for a restful night of sleep so you can do it all over again the next day! We strive to make every detail memorable and special. Our Retreat provides a vacation from life that you have been waiting for and the experience of a lifetime. Our goal is to make sure that you have the time of your life while making lifelong friendships, and especially that you go back to your life a stronger, more joyful woman, feeling on-track and ready to be exactly who you are and to do exactly what is in your heart
How do I get there?
The drive is exhilarating, as you wind through the beautiful mountains. Please plan to arrive between 3 -6pm, it is much easier to navigate and a more enjoyable drive in the daylight. Click here for directions and estimated driving times. The GPS address is 2418 Locust Gap Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
What airport do I fly into?
Closest Airport: (TRI) Tri-Cities Regional Airport, TN. It is an hour’s drive from Cherokee Cove. Your flight should arrive by 3pm on Thursday to give you enough time to drive to the retreat. The retreat ends Sunday at noon, although you are welcome to stay as late as 4pm. A 3pm or later flight on Sunday would work best.
What kind of weather should I expect?
The average daytime temperature should range between mid-60s to mid-70s. It will get chilly in the evenings with temps ranging mid-40s to mid-50s. Be sure to pack/dress in layers.
What should I bring with me?
Pack comfortable clothes. Good hiking shoes, if you plan to explore the property. A jacket and your personal toiletries. (Linens, snacks, drinks, meals and all retreat supplies are provided.)
What about computers and cell phones?
We are 100% unplugged at Heart Art Retreats. We ask that you leave your laptops and iPads and such at home and turn OFF cell phones for the duration of the retreat. This is a very important part of what makes the retreat so special. Don’t worry – your loved ones will have an emergency contact number so that you can be reached if needed. You deserve this to be the best experience possible and unplugging is a critical part of that. (When is the last time you were in a room with a group of people and no one was texting or checking their messages?) You’ll be able to really focus on yourself and the incredible experiences you are having.
What about women who are couples?
Because of the dynamics of the retreat and as it is not a couples retreat, we do not invite women who are couples to attend together. They are certainly invited to attend separate retreats, however. Because none of the other women have their partners in attendance, the interaction is far different than in a couples retreat session. We invite women in intimate partnerships to attend separate sessions.
Is the tuition refundable?
There is an enormous amount of expense and advance preparation that goes into preparing for each individual guest. While the initial $350 deposit is not refundable, up to a certain point tuitions are transferable to another person. So, if something comes up that prevents you from coming, you are free to attend a future retreat or sell your spot to another person. Please contact learning@HeartArt.me for details.
